More young people ended up in hospital due to alcohol in 2011 then in 2001

In the Netherlands the number of young people who ended up in hospital because of alcohol, has increased fourfold. In 2001, 263 young people ended up in a hospital with an alcohol related problem, in 2011 the number increased to more than a thousand, 1087 to be specific. This is clear from the Annual Report of the National Drug Monitor of the Trimbos Institute.
