The first European network conference on reducing youth drinking by law enforcement was held in Rotterdam, The Netherlands on the 27th and 28th October 2011. This unique conference was organized by the Dutch Institute for Alcohol Policy in cooperation with their European partners. Leading international experts from the field of enforcement and policy research were invited to participate.
In an exciting international Program, enforcement and health experts from 12 different countries were able to exchange knowledge on curbing underage drinking by enforcement. Keynote speakers like prof. Alexander Wagenaar and practice experts addressed a range of topics including: enforcement strategies on youth drinking, the collaboration between health experts and enforcers in project structures and the effectiveness of good enforcement interventions.
the conference was a success and therefore we are working on a follow up next year in another European country. You will find information about this on the website as soon as possible.
